1. Learned Counsel for the Respondent contends that the delay in refunding the amount of Rs.41,723/- as on 19.08.2024 has been sufficiently explained; it is submitted by the Respondent that the Bank i.e. Canara Bank, Ponda Branch, is ready and willing even now to refund the amount of Rs.41,723/- which, with interest thereon till date, would amount to Rs.50,321/- to purge the contempt alleged. Since the statement is now made by the Respondent that the amount of Rs.50,321/-, which is the principal of Rs.41,723/- with interest thereon till date, would be refunded, Mr Shirodkar, learned Counsel on behalf of the Petitioner, submits that the Petitioner would withdraw the contempt petition and seek redressal of his civil remedies before the 4th December, 2025

CP 24 of 2024 appropriate forum.

2. In this view of the matter, the Canara Bank, Ponda Branch, shall refund to the Petitioner the amount of Rs.50,321/- which is claimed with interest as on date, within a period of 10 days from today and report such payment.

List this matter on 16.12.2025.
