Heard Mr. S. Priolkar, learned Additional Government Advocate for the Applicants. None appeared for the Respondents. It is noted that the learned counsel for the Respondents was also absent on the previous occasion.

2. Be that as it may, the present application has been filed seeking extension of time for compliance with the order dated 08.01.2024 passed in Writ Petition No. 926 of 2023 by a further period of seven 28th January, 2026

MCA 98 of 2025 months.

3. By order dated 08.01.2024, this Court had directed the concerned authority to dispose of the proceedings registered under Section 7 of the Goa Agricultural Tenancy Act, 1964 within a period of three months. However, it is a matter of record that even after the lapse of more than two years from the date of issuance of the said order, there has been no compliance.

4. Considering the grounds stated in the application, and in view of the fact that the Respondents have not filed any reply, we are inclined to grant a further period of three months from today for compliance with the order dated 08.01.2024.

5. Accordingly, the Mamlatdar/Applicant is granted three months' time with effect from today to dispose of the proceedings.

6. The application stands disposed of.
