The present petition was filed on 06.01.2024 seeking challenge to the impugned Advertisement dated 20.12.2023 issued by the Respondent No.2 i.e. President, Zilla Parishad Prathamik Shikshak Sahakari Pat Sanstha Limited, Gadchandur, Tahsil-Korpona, DistrictChandrapur for filling up the post of Peon. However, since the aforesaid writ petition was not listed before this court, the efficacy of challenge to impugned advertisement has been rendered infructuous. The only grievance remains is to grant appointment on compassionate ground on the post of Peon.

The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the husband of the petitioner was working as a Clerk with the respondent nos.2 and 3. He died in harness on 27.4.2023. Thus, the petitioner, who is the wife, has applied to the respondent no.2 for grant of appointment on compassionate basis. Such application was submitted on 9.5.2023, which is at record page 16, Annexure-I. He further

2 01 WP 1593.24.odt submits that in spite of passage of almost three years now, the aforesaid application is not yet decided.

In view of the above, we dispose of the present writ petition with a direction to the respondent no.2 to decide the aforesaid application dated 9.5.2023, which is at record page 16, Annexure-I within a stipulated period of eight weeks from the date of production of order of this court. The decision taken thereupon shall be communicated to the petitioner within a period of two weeks thereafter.
