We have heard learned Counsel for the petitioners. 2.

Once the Policy decision is taken thereby fixing the age of retirement at 62, there is a legitimate expectations that such benefits are to be extended to all the employees who are in the service on the date of such decision. According to the learned Counsel for the petitioners, the age of retirement cannot be reduced from 62 to 60 with retrospective effect there by affecting the service conditions of the petitioners.

Issue notice to the respondents, returnable on 27-03-2024.

Learned Assistant Government Pleader, waives notice for respondent no.1.

Service be completed on the respondents by the said date.
