This matter pertains to disqualification of petitioner who is the member of the Gram Panchayat under Section 14 (1) (j-3) of the Maharashtra Village Panchayats Act, 1959. After service of notice, the learned counsel appearing on behalf of the respondent No.5 is seeking time to file reply. The learned counsel for the petitioner opposes such request and submits that, there is an urgency in the matter as the petitioner is praying for ad-interim relief i.e. for stay to the disqualification.

In the circumstances, time is granted to the respondent No.5 to file reply till 12.06.2024. 3.

Liberty is granted to the petitioner to move in Vacation Court if such occasion arises.
