Even if the petitioners were appointed on a contract basis, it is the contention that their term, which was extended upto 12.07.2024 and 31.07.2024, ought not to have been abruptly brought to an end under Clause 10 of the terms and conditions of the appointment letters dated 14.01.2019 and 01.08.2019 respectively, without there being any reason. 2.

Issue notice before admission to the respondents, returnable on 29-04-2024.

Service on the respondents by all modes is permitted.

In view of the fact that the term of the petitioners is yet to expire, there shall be a status quo as on today.

To be heard along with Writ Petition No.2194/2024.
