On or about 9-9-2020, the horticultural crops of the petitioner suffered damages because of percolation of water from the irrigation tank. 2.

The respondents assessed the damages and paid the same based on the rates as were fixed in 2018-19 and not in 2020-21. 3.

The petitioner's prayer for award of appropriate compensation was turned down on the ground that the District Superintendent/Agriculture Officer, Amravati has certified the rates.

It is the contention of the learned counsel for the petitioner that every year the rates are finalized having regard to the index to that effect decided by the Special Committee.

The learned counsel for the petitioner seeks time to produce on record such rates approved by the Special Committee.
