MAY 08, MAY 08, (1) The Petition challenges the order dated 01/03/2024 (Page 114) in which the Application filed by the Petitioner for correction in the Revenue Records regarding the nature of cultivation from non-irrigated to irrigated has been declined on the ground that it cannot be done under Section 155 of the Maharashtra Land Revenue Code.

(2) By inviting our attention to the 7/12 Extract in respect of the Petitioner Nos. 1, 2 & 3 at Pages 66, 71 and 73 respectively, it is pointed out that the entry of a well exists since 2021-22, which is prior to the date of the Notification dated 15/05/2023 under which the lands in question are proposed to be ....ANSARI ANSARI....

911wp3088.24 911wp3088.24 acquired. The impugned order itself in Paragraph No. 2 records that the lands of number of agriculturists are in fact irrigated, considering which, issue notice for final disposal to the Respondents, returnable on 10/06/2024.
