DATED : 4th MARCH, 2025 The petitioners, who are appointed as Assistant Teachers in various schools run by the Zilla Parisad, Yavatmal and Amravati, claim to be entitled to be promoted to the post of Extension Officer (Education), under the Maharashtra District Zilla Parishad Service (Recruitment), Rules, 1967, in terms of the second amendment to the said Rules, made in the year 2014. That being the limited relief claimed in the petition, we dispose off the petition by directing the respondent Nos. 1 to 4 to consider the claims of the petitioners, in the light of the aforesaid Rules as they stand amended till date, in terms of the criterion as indicated therein, within a period of six weeks from the date on which the

2 27-3553-24.odt petitioners shall move a fresh representation to the respondent Nos. 1 to 4 which shall be done within a period of two weeks from today by considering their claim on an individual basis in terms of the aforesaid rules and policy of the State as reflected in the various Government Resolutions, as may be applicable. The petition is accordingly disposed off in the above terms. No costs.
