Challenge in the petition is to the order dated 23/08/2023 passed by the respondent-Scrutiny Committee invalidating the tribeclaim of the petitioner of belonging to Bhamti (3-A) De-Notified Tribes (Vimukta Jati) (A).

Contention of the petitioner is Rules 2(1) and 4(a) of the Rules 2012 framed under Maharashtra Act No.23/2001 are in contravention of Articles 14 and 21 of the Constitution of India. 4.
