The issue raised is whether the seniority of the petitioners to be reckoned from the date of acquiring the qualification or from the date of appointment. It is claimed that the action of the respondent authorities is contrary to the Government Resolution dated 24.1.2017.

Issue notice to the respondents, returnable on 21.8.2024.

Mr. Dhumale, learned Assistant Government Pleader waives service of notice for respondent Nos. 1 to 3. 5.

Needless to clarify that the promotions, if any, shall be subject to outcome of the petition and the candidates should be made aware about the pendency of the present petition.
