The petitioners as waitlisted candidates are alleging that even for horizontal reservations the mandate from the respective categories is not available, the posts cannot be kept vacant in view of the law laid down by the Honourable Apex Court in the matter of Saurav Yadav vs. State of Uttar Pradesh, (2021) SCC (4) 542 and as such they are claiming appointments on the posts which are unfilled. 3.

Issue notice to the respondents for final disposal of the petition, returnable on 24/09/2024.
