DATED : 1st April, 2026 The learned Assistant Government Pleader upon receiving instructions vide communication dated 31/03/2026 from the Assistant Commissioner, State Excise makes a statement that Rs.1,50,18,125/- will be paid to the petitioner within six weeks and the amount towards balance late fee and interest will be paid by the end of July 2026. Copy of communication dated 31/03/2026 is taken on record and marked 'X' for the purpose of identification. 2.

However, the petitioner shall submit an undertaking to the effect that if the respondents succeed in SLP pending before the Honourable Supreme Court, as per order, the petitioner will pay back the amount. Such undertaking shall be filed within two weeks from today.

Furthermore, liberty is granted to the petitioner to raise a dispute before the appropriate forum by availing appropriate remedy if any grievance subsists as regards the total amount to be receivable by the petitioner.
