DATED : 05-09-2024 It is contentions of the petitioner that after having appointed in 1998 as an Assistant Teacher, he was promoted as the Centre Head on 30-6-2003.

The petitioner having been belonging to NT-D category, availed reservation and was promoted as an Extension Officer on 19-5-2006.

According to the petitioner, his claim was considered for the post of Assistant Block Development Officer for which feeder cadre is from the Extension Officer and he is denied benefit on the ground that since the petitioner has already availed the benefit of promotion for the post of Extension Officer, his seniority if considered by virtue of the Government Resolution dated 07-5-2021 with effect from 25-5-2004, the petitioner is junior. It is claimed that one Mr. Pawar, who is senior to the petitioner and working on the post of Centre Head, has to first cross the hurdle of being promoted as an Extension Officer.

As such, he would claim that once the petitioner's claim is matured to the post of Assistant Block Development Officer, the impediment that is sought to be read in the aforesaid Government Resolution cannot be invoked against the petitioner.

Issue notice to the respondents, returnable on 03-10-2024.
