Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and Shri S.M. Ukey, learned counsel for the Nagpur Municipal Corporation.

The petitioner is said to have retired on 31st May, 2024 from the post of Wireman, however, till date his post retirement dues have not been paid to him. 3.

Any delay in payment of post retirement dues cannot be appreciated. An employee, who has served his life with the employer, cannot be denied his dues. Further, the pensionary benefits are not a bounty conferred on the employee concerned, rather it is his right.

More than a period of six months have expired, however, petitioner has not paid his post retirement dues. 5.

In the aforesaid circumstances, we direct the respondents to pay the post retirement dues to the petitioner before next date of hearing, failing which the Commissioner,
