Heard Mr. Narnaware, learned Advocate for the petitioner and Mr. Ukey, learned Additional Government Pleader for respondent Nos.1 to 3.

It is the case of the petitioner that he was appointed through V.J. category and his caste claim was rejected by the Committee for Verification of Caste Claim vide order dated 2.11.2023. According to him in view of Government Resolution dated 21.12.2019 and 14.12.2022 the petitioner is entitled for consideration of his services on a supernumerary post.

Our attention is invited by Mr. Narnaware to representation made by the petitioner seeking the absorption of his services on the supernumerary post which was preferred on 8.8.2024. 4.

In this view of the matter, we deem it appropriate to dispose of the writ petition.

We direct the petitioner to appear before the respondent Collector on 6.1.2025 along with copy of the petition and annexures and also the copy of present order. The Collector shall dispose of the claim of the petitioner for absorption of services of the petitioner on

wp6711.2024.odt supernumerary post within a period of three months. Writ petition is disposed of accordingly.
