We deem it appropriate to direct that one seat in the Computer Science stream in the respondent No.4-College be kept vacant, as in spite of notice, all the respondents have chosen not to file their affidavit-in-reply. 2.

The aforesaid order is passed keeping in mind the directions issued by the Authority in the matter of permitting the change of stream after completion of first year, which in the present case, the petitioner has passed Bachelor of Engineering 1st year in Civil Engineering. 3.

Apart from above, the Notification dated 24/04/2017, particularly, Schedule-2 as per Rules 6 and 7 contemplate the dedicated quota for the institutional candidates like the petitioner for shifting of stream.

We expect the response from the respondents to the same in any case, by 18/12/2024.

We direct the respondent No.2-Director of Technical Kavita

948-wp 7000-24.odt 2/2 Education to look into the matter and file his affidavit in any case by the said date, failing which, the Court will be constrained to summon the said Officer, as the petitioner is likely to loose an academic year, because of the failure of the respondents in taking timely action in accordance with the aforesaid Rules.

We direct the learned Assistant Government Pleader to communicate this order to the respondent No.2. 7.
