The petitioner is claimed to belong to the 'Muslim Bhangi Caste.' However, respondent No. 4-Municipal Council has not considered his caste and rejected his application/representation by communication/order dated 11/11/2024.

To substantiate his contention, he is relying upon the decision of this Court in Sheikh Yusuf Shaikh Yunus Vrs. The State of Maharashtra and another in Writ Petition No.7109/2018 decided on 20/09/2019 and canvassed that the petitioner's case is covered by the said judgment.

In view of the above, issue a notice to the respondents, returnable after four weeks.
