1. This matter was heard and reserved for orders on 04.02.2026. Whilst reserving the matter for orders, considering that it would be still upon to the Directorate of Education (DOE) in terms of Sub Section 7 of Section 20 of the Education Act, if the circumstances exists, recall the order of appointment of Administrator and hand over the running of the school to the school management committee, the matter was 9th February, 2026

WP 456 of 2024 adjourned for Mr. Priolkar, learned Additional Government Advocate appearing for the State to take instructions from the DOE.

2. Mr. Priolkar, learned Additional Government Advocate appearing for the State, on instructions from the DOE makes a statement that the DOE would proceed to hear the parties and pass an order exercising powers under Sub Section 7 of Section 20 of the Act. He further submits that the report of the Administrator would be placed before the DOE by 20.02.2026, with copies to the Petitioner and to the Respondents.

3. it is further submitted that the DOE will commence hearing of the matter on 27.02.2026 at 4.30 p.m., where all parties shall appear before him. No further notice would be required as all parties are represented by their respective Advocates before this Court.

4. Considering that Judgment in this petition is reserved, the DOE shall decide whether the management of the school is to be handed back to the managing committee by 16.03.2026.

5. List this matter on 25.03.2026 for a report on such orders. VALMIKI MENEZES, J.
