The learned Counsel for the Petitioner has placed before us a compilation of judgments which include the decisions of the High Court of Judicature at Madras in case of S. Kothandaraman v/s. The Pro-Chancellor Puducherry Technological University & Ors.

(WP/17918 and 17929 of 2021) which has considered the law on the said issue about the binding effect of AICTE Act as well as the Regulations and the directions issued thereunder including the direction as regards Payscale and the age of superannuation. The learned Counsel would submit that the Petitioner has been made to retire on attaining the age of 62 years on 30.06.2024. It is the 20th September, 2025

WP 755 of 2024 submission of the learned Counsel for the Petitioner that if the Petitioner is entitled to be continued in service till she attains the age of superannuation, in that case, she should be permitted to join the services and render the services till she attains the age of 65 years.

2. Since Mr Agni, the Counsel representing Respondent No.1 and 2 is not available today, by treating the Petition as Part Heard, we direct its listing on 24.09.2025.
