DATE : 2ND SEPTEMBER, 2024 The respondents-NMC in pursuance to the order dated 12/04/2024 has deposited a sum of Rs.10 Lakhs each vis-a-vis the deceased employees on account of their demise in COVID-19. We have already recorded in our order dated 12/04/2024, that the respondents, do not dispute the resolution dated 15/02/2024 and the GR dated 04/08/2021 under which the NMC is obligated to make payment for the aforesaid compensation. Since Rs.10 Lakhs has already been deposited, the balance Rs.40 Lakhs per deceased employee remains to be deposited. On account of the fact that there is no dispute regarding the liability of the NMC to make this payment, we direct the NMC to deposit this amount in the Court within a period of three weeks from today.

Since the respondents have no objection to this, the applications are allowed and disposed of.

CAW No.2273/2024 in WP No.4820/2023 By this application, the petitioner seeks to bring on record the legal representative of the petitioner. Respondents have no objection, considering the same, the application is allowed. The addition be carried out forthwith.

Mr.Kasat, learned counsel for the NMC, does not dispute that the person, who is brought on record, is the legal heir of the petitioner and is entitled to the amount of part compensation of Rs.10 Lakhs deposited by the NMC in this Court, in view of which, he is permitted to withdraw the aforesaid amount.
