The Applicant/Acquiring Body is seeking condonation of delay of 44 days in challenging the Judgment and Award dated 15/1/2024 in LAC No. 2817/AMT/BLD/2021, by way of the First Appeal.

The learned Counsel for Original Claimant i.e. Respondent No.1, despite appearance, remained absent. However, considering the statutory right of the Applicant/Acquiring Body and the reasons mentioned in the Application, Civil Application stands allowed in terms of its prayer.

The order dated 11/10/2024 in the present Application indicates that the Applicant/Acquiring Body was directed to deposit 75% amount along with interest accrued thereon within eight weeks. However, due to certain difficulty the Acquiring Body could not deposit the said amount within the stipulated period.

Now the learned Counsel for Applicant/Acquiring Body is ready with the cheque of said amount of compensation and going to deposit the same with the Office within one week from today.

In view of the same, the Office is directed to accept the said amount within a week.
