DATE : 04.02.2026 This is an application for condonation of delay in filling the statutory appeal. The applicant, who is the original claimants has filed the appeal seeking enhancement of compensation and it is submitted that the delay occurred on account of the fact that the applicant, who is rustic villager, was not aware about the procedure and requirement to file the appeal in time.

Although learned counsel for respondents have opposed the application, having regard to the contents of the application and submissions advanced, the delay of 353 days is condoned.

Considering the fact that the appeal is filed after a delay of 353 days, it is directed that the applicant will not be entitled for statutory benefits and interest for the period of delay. A copy of this order be attached to the order sheet of the first appeal, after it is registered. 4.
