Civil Application (CAF) No. 3562/2024 in First Appeal No. 694/2019 Coram : Registrar (Judicial) Dated : 10.12.2024 This application is filed under Order 5 Rule 20 of the Code of Civil Procedure, 1908, for substituted service upon respondent nos. 1 and 2 by paper publication. It is stated that the applicant is unable to provide correct address, for effecting the service. The earlier permission granted for paper publication vide CAF No. 568/2024, could not be processed since the paper in which publication was sought, is no longer available. Thus, the applicant seeks further permission to serve the aforesaid respondents by way of paper publication for further adjudication of the matter.

Considering the reasons mentioned in the application, the applicant is allowed to serve aforesaid respondents by substituted service on last known address.

Substituted service be effected upon the aforesaid respondent no. 1 and 2 by publishing notice in widely circulated local daily newspapers i.e. ('Lok Sammat", Shriganganagar Edition) and ('Rajkarani Chirag", Bikaner Edition) respectively, as prayed by the applicant, in terms of Order V Rule 20 (1-A) of CPC, returnable within four weeks from the date of publication of notice.
