JULY 18, 2025 1) Learned counsel for the appellant seeks one week's time to make a statement on how much time the appellant is going to deposit in this Court.
2) It is pertinent to note that by order dated 18/06/2025, the appellant was directed to deposit the interest amount in this Court within a period of four weeks, by way of last chance. Despite the said order, the learned counsel for the
2 07-CAF 3623.2024 +.odt appellant sought one week to obtain instructions and make the necessary arrangements to deposit the amount accordingly. 3) Having considered the reasons disclosed in the application, the amount mentioned in the prayer clause and the fact that though the land was acquired in the year 2003 but till this date the entire compensation amount has not been paid by the appellant to the respondents, I deem it appropriate to direct the appellant to deposit part of the interest amount within one week and also make a statement that how much time they require to deposit the remaining amount; failing which, this court will be constrained to issue summons against the concerned Officer, who is found responsible for the said lapse and if required will initiate contempt proceedings for non-compliance of the order of this Court from time to time.
4) List the matter on 28/07/2025.
5) An authenticated copy of this order shall be supplied to the parties.
