Considering the reason that the appellant was facing financial constraints during the relevant period, coupled with the fact that the scheme of compensation is a beneficial legislation, the delay caused in filing the appeal is condoned.

It is made clear that the appellant will not be entitled to interest on the amount of compensation for delayed period, in case the appeal is allowed. 5.
