DATE : 17 APRIL, 2026 P.C. :- 1) Mr. Panicker, learned advocate appearing for the licensor has shown me the order dated 24 June, 2024 passed by this Court in Writ Petition No. 6717 of 2009. In the said judgment, in paragraph no. 14, the statement made by the learned advocate appearing for the petitioner/licensee on behalf of his client is recorded that the
KVM 2/2 902 - WP 6717 OF 2009.doc petitioner will deposit a sum of Rs.40,000/- per month from 1 June, 2023 till 30 June, 2024 and for a further period of 1 July, 2024 to 30 September, 2024. The said amount was agreed and undertaken to be paid within a period of six weeks excluding Rs.25,000/- deposited earlier. The writ petition was dismissed with cost of Rs.10,000/-. 2) Mr.Panicker submits that the cost amount has not been paid. So also the amount undertaken to this Court to be paid at the rate of Rs.40,000/- per month, only part of the said amount, i.e. Rs.2,40,000/- has been paid against total amount of Rs.6,40,000/-. 3) By the present interim application, Mr.Panicker has sought the balance amount to be deposited in this Court. So also, a prayer has been made to initiate contempt proceedings against the petitioner for deliberately non compliance of the directions issued by this Court's order dated 29 September 2017, 15 December 2017, 5 February 2018 and 24 June 2024 and also the Supreme Court order dated 6 September 2024 passed in Special Leave Petition No. 19648 of 2024.
4) Issue notice to the respondent, returnable on 4 May, 2026.
