The Interim Application is taken out for two prayers. First prayer is that the petition be taken up for early hearing. Second prayer is that the petition be disposed of in light of the Judgment of the Division Bench of Kerala High Court in Writ Appeal No. 1037 of 2023.

The learned counsel for the Respondent/Reserve Bank of India states that the decision of Kerala High Court is subject matter of Special Leave Petition (C) No. 3372 of 2024 before the Hon'ble Supreme Court, in which notice was issued on 22 February 2024 and the operation of the Judgment is stayed. This Writ Petition cannot be disposed of only on the basis of the decision of the Kerala High Court. Prayer clause (b) is rejected.

As for consideration of prayer clause (a), place the interim application on board on 21 August 2024.

At the joint request, Writ Petition No. 1694 of 2017(OS) to be heard along with present Writ Petition.
