Learned AGP has tendered a letter dated 11th March 2026 issued by the Divisional Deputy Director intimating that 1/3
the amounts towards the pensionary benefits and the backwages are released in the bank account of respondent no.1. He submits that the amount of backwages is paid which according to the State Government would be liable to be paid in view of the grant to the petitioner institution. The letter is taken on record.

As recorded in the earlier order dated 7th March 2026, the compliance on behalf of the State Government is accepted subject to the issue on the liability to make the payment of entire backwages.

It is clarified that since the petitioner institution has 100% grant, the learned AGP would have to satisfy this court that why the entire backwages are not released. 4.
Learned AGP seeks extension of time to file affidavit pursuant to order dated 26th February 2026 and the learned counsel for the Education Officer, Thane Municipal Corporation Board also seeks extension of time. 5.
At the request of learned AGP and the learned counsel for the Eduction Officer, Thane Municipal corporation Board, time is extended till the next date.
