The challenge raised in this Writ Petition is to a show cause notice dated 9th January 2017 issued by the District Deputy Registrar under Section 45(1) of the Maharashtra Agricultural Produce Market

It is not in dispute that the elective term of the petitioner was from May 2015 till completion of five years in 2020. It is informed that subsequently fresh elections were held in May 2023. 3.

In view of aforesaid, it is not necessary to adjudicate the challenge as raised to the show cause notice. The interest of justice would be served by keeping open the petitioner's challenge in case any fresh action initiated by the respondents. This includes the contention that nothing survives in the charges as levelled in view of the compliance made by the petitioner.

With aforesaid observations, the Writ Petition is disposed of. 5.
