...Applicant Vs.

Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited

...Respondent

----------------- Mr. Sriraj G. Menon a/w Avesh G. and Sandesh Panchal for the Applicant. Mr. Soham Bhalerao i/by DSK Legal for the Respondent. ----------------- CORAM : ARIF S. DOCTOR, J.

DATE : 14TH AUGUST, 2024 P.C.:- 1.

This is an Application filed under Section 29A of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996 for extension of the mandate of the Tribunal. There is no opposition to this application. I am informed that the arbitration is all but completed and the matter is closed for the order of Learned Arbitrator. It is thus that the extension is sought for. Given these facts, I deem it fit and in the interest of justice to allow the Petition in terms of prayer clause (a) which reads thus:- "(a) That this Hon'ble Court be pleased to extend the period for declaration of the award under Section 29A of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act 1996 upto four (4) months ie. till 30th November 2024 as per the provisions of the law with conditions as may be deemed fit in the interest of justice, equity and law." 2 908-IA-10622-2024.doc However, since this is a third extension that is sought for and the matter is closed for orders, there shall be no further extension. 2.

Interim Application is accordingly disposed of. (ARIF S. DOCTOR, J.) Shubham 2/2
