DATE : 24TH OCTOBER, 2024 P.C.:- 1.

This is an Application filed under Section 29A of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996 for extension of mandate of the Tribunal. I am informed that this is the first extension that is sought for and the arbitration proceedings are at the stage of cross-examination. There is no opposition to the present Application. Hence, I am satisfied that sufficient progress has been made and the interest of justice would require me to grant the extension as prayed for. Application is therefore allowed in terms of prayer clause (ii) which reads thus:- "[ii] The Hon'ble Court may be please to grant extension of appropriate time at least for a period of 6 months for passing the award in view section 29 A

(5) of Arbitration and conciliation Act 1996 or as this Hon'ble Court may deems fit and proper in the interest of justice." Shubham 1/2

It is made clear that extended time shall commence from the date on which a copy of this order is uploaded.

Interim Application is accordingly disposed of. (ARIF S. DOCTOR, J.) Shubham 2/2
