These Criminal Appeals and Confirmation Case No.3 of 2024 are pending for about two years.

One of the reasons that appear on a glance at the proceedings in Confirmation Case No.3 of 2024 was that the convict-Tejas @ Dada Mahipati Dalvi was not represented through his counsel on 1st October 2024 and 15th October 2024. The convict being on death row has a right of preferential hearing of Confirmation Case No.3 of 2024 with Criminal Appeal No.367 of 2024 pending in this High Court. It appears that the lower Court records were summoned and have been received in the Registry. We further find that some of the documents forming part of the lower Court records are in Marathi which are to be translated in English.

Being the prosecutor, the State of Maharashtra through the learned Public Prosecutor shall prepare a paper-book of the true translated copies of the documents which are in Marathi. For that purpose, four weeks' time is granted to the learned Additional Public Prosecutor who is appearing in these matters on behalf of the State of Maharashtra.
