In the light of order dated 9th December 2025, directing paper books to be updated in the light of the grievance raised in Interim Application No. 4563 of 2025, the R & P and the paper book were sent to the Sessions Court, as per Rules, for taking necessary action.

A letter dated 8th January 2026 is received from District Judge-12 for the Principal District and Sessions Judge, Pune, seeking extension of time to abide by the directions contained in the aforesaid order. It is stated that the record is voluminous and therefore, the extension of time is necessary. 3.

In view of the above, extension of time by four weeks is granted for complying with order dated 9th December 2025 passed in Interim Application No. 4563 of 2025.

It is made clear that no further time shall be granted. 5.

This order shall be communicated to the Principal District and Sessions Judge, Pune, forthwith.

The State was expected to file reply affidavit in Interim Application No. 4190 of 2025. Reply affidavit be filed within three weeks from today.

In the connected Criminal Appeal No. 1262 of 2024, we find that there is no appearance on behalf of the appellant. 8.

In the event, there is no appearance on behalf of the

appellant on the next date of hearing also, we may be constrained to appoint an Advocate through legal-aid to appear for the appellant therein.

List for further consideration/directions on 18th February 2026.
