Learned Advocate for applicants and respondent No.2 submit that there is element of settlement which can be explored through mediation and, therefore, they both seek appointment of Mediator. Since the offence is stated to be arising between husband and wife, it would be a fit case where it should be referred to mediation.

Advocate Mr. R.V. Naiknaware is hereby appointed as Mediator

Cri.Appln_1854_2024 to explore the possibility of settlement through mediation. The parties to appear before him on 02.01.2025 at 2.00 p.m. Thereafter, the learned Mediator may take as many sittings as are desirable to explore the possibility of settlement and if the settlement is arrived at, then may help the parties in settling the terms in writing. In any case the report be submitted on or before 06.02.2025.
