By the present Application under Section 482 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973, the Applicants, who are the Husband and In-laws of Respondent No.2 - Informant, are seeking quashment of FIR bearing No.236/2024 registered with Partur Police Station, Tal. Partur, Dist. Jalna for the offences punishable under Sections 498-A, 323, 504, 506 r/w. Sec. 34 of the Indian Penal Code and under Sections 3 & 4 of Dowry Prohibition Act as well as the consequential Charge-sheet which culminated in RCC No.146/2024.

Applicant No.1 - Rajesh Sakharam Pawar and Respondent No.2 - Rupali Rajesh Pawar are personally present before this Court along with their respective Advocates.

The Affidavit has been filed by Respondent No.2 - Informant stating that, she has withdrawn divorce proceedings filed before the Family Court at Aurangabad, and the parties have agreed to withdraw the rest of the proceedings pending before this Court. It is further stated
in the Affidavit that, they are living happily together and considering the bright future of their children she decided not to prosecute the criminal proceedings any further. On asking, Respondent No.2 submits that the Application be allowed.

Learned APP for the State is present.

The aforesaid Criminal proceedings arise out of matrimonial dispute. Now, admittedly, the parties have amicably settled their family discord. Respondent No.2 - Informant has consented for quashing criminal proceedings. In this view of the matter, the following order is passed.
ORDER
(i) The Application is allowed in terms of prayer clauses 'B'. (ii) No costs.
