The matter was circulated by the Respondent. After some discussion, the Applicant who is present in this Court has agreed that he would pay a sum of Rs.50,000/- to the Respondent towards the arrears of maintenance of the daughter (Gurjyot Kour Navjyot Singh Granthi) who is a minor of about two and half years old. Such amount shall be paid to the Respondent by the Applicant within a period of two weeks from today. Such statement of the Applicant made on his behalf by the learned Advocate for the Applicant is accepted as an undertaking to this Court. As far as the monthly maintenance of Rs.5,000/- is concerned, he has undertaken to deposit the same regularly which he shall start doing after depositing a sum of Rs.50,000/- with the Registry of Trial Court in favour of the Respondent-Wife.

Needless to state that such arrangement is without prejudice to the rights and contentions of the parties and subject to the outcome of these proceedings. The said amounts shall be deposited with the Registry of the Trial Court which would be then withdrawn by an appropriate Application by the Respondent. The Applicant fairly agrees and undertakes that on such count there will be no opposition on his behalf.
