The petitioner challenges the First Information Report dated 11th October 2023 registered with Chandgad Police Station, Kolhapur vide C.R. No. 379 of 2023 for offences under Sections 498-A, 323, 504 read with 34 of the Indian Penal Code, 1860.

The FIR was registered at the instance of Respondent No.2. The marriage between Respondent No.2 and accused No.1 was performed on 27th May 2022 and the FIR has been registered within short span of time. The only allegations against the petitioner is that she used to abuse the complainant and quarrel with her on phone.

It is submitted that, the petitioner is the married sister-in-law of Dnyaneshwar Ethape, P.A.

26-WP-835-2024.doc complainant. The petitioner is resident of Pune. FIR has been registered at Kolhapur.

Apparently, the petitioner has been implicated in this case on the basis of vague allegations.

Issue notice to Respondent No.2, returnable on 1st July 2024. 6.
