DATE : 02nd DECEMBER, 2025 P.C:- The petition filed in the year 2025 deserve a disposal, as we have taken note of the steps taken by Khadki police station to trace the petitioner's son who went missing on 4/4/2023.

He gained knowledge that one Baban Deokhule had beaten up his son, who thereafter ran away to the shores of Mula Muta river and suddenly disappeared from that day, and he lodged a complaint with Khadki police station, which resulted in registration of an FIR and in fact, the accused persons were arrested and produced before the Magistrate and

2/2 3 wp-982-25.odt released on bail, but could not provide any information as regards the missing person.

On the last date, we were informed that the mobile phone of the missing person had been seized and has been sent for forensic analysis, but Ms.Sangeeta Shinde, learned APP submit that since the phone belong to Apple Company, a report is received that it would not be possible for them to open and retrieve the data therein. However, once again, in the wake of the new technology, attempts are made to open the lock of the mobile phone in an attempt to find out if it contain any information as regards the missing person.

At this juncture, since we find that steps have been taken to search for the petitioner's son, we deem it appropriate to dispose of the Writ Petition with a direction to the Crime Branch, Unit IV, Pune, to continue its efforts to trace the missing person and, from time to time, apprise the petitioner about the progress of the investigation. It is also open to the petitioner to approach the Authority seeking further information. Writ Petition stand disposed of.
