Mr. Yagnik has informed us that in pursuance to the order passed by this Court the Petitioner was released from detention for attending the funeral rights of his wife and he has been confined in the jail.

The counsel for the Petitioner seek leave to amend the Petition for adding some additional grounds and we are inclined to grant such amendment.

The amendment is permitted to be carried out within a period of one week from today.

Though Mr. Yagnik has urged before us that the affidavit-in-reply is finalized, we expect the State Government would consider the additional grounds in affidavit-in-reply and therefore grant two weeks time to file the affidavit, upon receipt of the amended copy of the Writ Petition. Re-notify to 22.08.2024.
