The Petition was filed raising a challenge to the Order dated 09.04.2024, passed by the Commissioner of Police, Pimpri-Chinchwad, thereby directing detention of the Petitioner, under the provisions of Maharashtra Prevention Of Dangerous Activities of Slumlords, Bootleggers, DrugOffenders, Dangerous Persons, Video Pirates, Sand Smugglers And Persons Engaged In Black-Marketing Of Essential Commodities Act, 1981 Act.

Rule came to be issued on 29.04.2024.

Today Mr. Gavand informed that the Government Chaitanya

2/2 5-Wp-1616-2024.doc of Maharashtra on 11.07.2024 has revoked the Detention Order and directed his release. The said order is taken up on record and marked 'X' for identification.

In the wake of the aforesaid development, the Writ Petition has been rendered infructuous and hence stand disposed off.
