The limited grievance raised in the Petition is about the Respondent No. 2 not having taken decision on the appeal fled by the petitioner/the convict, being aggrieved by the order passed by the Respondent No. 3, rejecting his application for furlough leave on 08.11.2023.

The appeal is pending since 04.12.2023 and, therefore, we direct the Respondent No. 2, i.e. the Additional D.I.G. Prisons, Maharashtra State, Pune- 1 to take a decision upon the same within a period of ten days from today. With this direction, the Writ Petition is disposed off, by reserving a liberty in the petitioner to approach this Court, if R.V.Patil
