We expect the learned APP Mr.Gavand to place before us any proof supporting the statement made by the Superintendent, Kolhapur Central Prison in his Affidavit, to the effect that the work was assigned to the Petitioner on Khaddamag (Handloom), but he refused to undertake the said work.

We, also expect the learned APP to point out to us as to whether any Register is maintained by the Jail Authorities about assignment of work to the Prisoners, so as to satisfy the stipulation of "Rigorous Imprisonment".

Re-notify to 22.10.2024.
