By this petition, preferred through the Legal Services Authority, the petitioner seeks his transfer from Amravati Central Jail to Thane Central jail, on the ground that his family resides in Thane. 2.

Learned APP has tendered a report dated 3rd December, 2024. From the said report, it appears that the petitioner is from Wakodikar 1/2

24-WP-3098-2024.doc Uttar Pradesh and his family resides at Motajot, Post Malhari, Tq. Padri Kirpal, District Gonda, Uttar Pradesh and as such, transfer of the petitioner from Amravati to Thane does not arise. 3.

Petition is dismissed.

Needless to state, that the petitioner is permitted to meet his family members as per the Maharashtra State Circular through emulakat, if the family is not visiting him in person. 5.

Petition is accordingly disposed of.

Learned APP to communicate the order passed today to the petitioner through the Superintendent of Jail, Amravati Central Prison.
