We have perused the order passed by the Hon'ble Supreme Court dated 27th January, 2025 in Special Leave Petition (Criminal) Diary No.56846 of 2024. The Hon'ble Supreme Court
has permitted the CBI to proceed with the investigation, while restraining it from filing a chargesheet without the leave of the High Court. The Accused have been directed to cooperate and participate in the investigation, with no coercive action be taken against them, subject to any further orders passed by the High Court. 2.
The learned Special PP appearing for the CBI submits that the financial scam is likely to involve an amount of Rs.5000 Crores, approximately. Considering the magnitude of the offences committed, the CBI is likely to require at least one year or more, to conclude the investigation. Upon completion of the investigation, the CBI will prepare its chargesheet and permission of this Court will be taken for filing the chargesheet, in the light of the directions of the Hon'ble Supreme Court set out in the above-referred order dated 27th January, 2025.

The learned Senior Advocates for the Petitioners in these matters contradict the contention of the Special PP appearing for the CBI and submit that no scam has occurred. They also state that these are commercial transactions. A forensic audit was
conducted on the directions of the RBI, and the transactions have not been faulted.

The learned Senior Advocates assure us that they are likely to take approximately 45 minutes, each to address this Court on the aspect of quashing the FIR.

By consent of all the learned Senior Advocates and the learned Advocates for the appearing parties, we are listing these proceedings on 4th September, 2025 at 3.00 p.m., to be called out after the fresh admissions board is over.
