The present petition is filed for quashing of the F.I.R. registered vide the C.R.No.213 of 2022 with Daighar police station, District Thane, on 31.07.2022, under sections 498A and 406 r/w. 34 of the I.P.C.

The F.I.R. is lodged by the Respondent No.2. The Petitioner No.1 is her husband, the petitioner nos.2 and 3 are his parents and the petitioner No.4 is his brother. The F.I.R. mentions that the informant got married with the petitioner No.1 on Digitally signed by VINOD BHASKAR GOKHALE Date:

19.12.2020. Initial few days were peaceful, but subsequently, the petitioners started illtreating her on the ground that her parents had not given her T.V. and washing machine. Her brother in law was asking her to give divorce to the petitioner No.1. There are allegations that her sisters in law harming her by touching hot articles. There are allegations that the stridhan given to her by her parents were kept by the petitioners. She was pressurised and was asked to put her signature on the divorce papers. On these allegations the F.I.R. was lodged. The investigation is going on. However, in the meantime, the parties have settled the matter amicably.

The Respondent No.2 has filed her affidavit online. It is not physically before us. But the learned counsel for the Respondent No.2 submitted a copy of the same affidavit. It is taken on record and marked 'X' for identification. In that affidavit she has clearly stated that she has no objection for quashing of the said F.I.R. The Respondent No.2 is present before this Court. She is identified by her learned counsel. She reiterated her stand of giving no objection for quashing of the F.I.R.

Considering that the nature of the dispute is purely personal in nature and since the parties have settled the matter amicably, we have no hesitation in allowing this writ petition. 5.

Hence, the following order:

O R D E R

i) The F.I.R. registered vide the C.R.No.213 of 2022 with Daighar police station, District Thane, on 31.07.2022, under sections 498A and 406 r/w. 34 of the I.P.C. is quashed and set aside.

ii) The Writ Petition is disposed of.
