DATE : 17th JUNE, 2025 P.C. :- By an order dated 26th November, 2024, a detailed order was passed by this Court and directed the petitioner to make payment of Rs. 4,75,000/- on or before 7th January, 2025. Accordingly, the petitioner has deposited the said amount.

Today, when the matter is listed, it is submitted by the learned Advocate for the respondent-wife that the petitioner is in arrears of total amount of Rs.21,90,000/- amongst which he has paid an amount of Rs.7,85,000/- and the arrears of Rs.14,05,000/- is still pending.

03-WP-4441-2024.odt The learned Advocate for the respondent has drawn my attention to certain documents in support of his contention that the petitioner has manipulated the documents while disclosing his income. In fact, though it has claimed that he is working elsewhere, he is employed with his father in the family business. The records regarding the payment of maintenance have been manipulated by him. He has placed reliance to the certain documents. According to him, those documents are on record before the trial Court.

The respondent shall file an affidavit in support of his oral submission within a period of three weeks from today. An advance copy of affidavit shall be made available to the Advocate for the petitioner. In the meantime, the petitioner shall clear the arrears of maintenance. The petitioner shall make an endeavour to clear atleast 50% of the arrears of maintenance amount before the next date.
