After arguing for some time, learned counsel for the Petitioner submitted that, liberty be granted to him to withdraw this petition and to pursue a separate remedy for prayer clause (C); which reads thus:

"That this Hon'ble Court may be pleased to Direct an independent investigation into the matter to ascertain the truth and take appropriate action against the errant officers for abuse of power and illegal demands;" 2.
