At the outset, learned counsel for both the contesting parties make a joint statement that the parties are willing to explore a possibility of settlement through mediation; by keeping their contentions open at this stage. The stand taken by both the learned counsel is very reasonable. Therefore, we are inclined to send the parties for mediation.

Learned APP, on instructions of the investigating officer, makes a statement that to enable the parties to participate in the mediation process smoothly, the investigating agency shall not take any coercive steps, at this stage.

Considering the statement made by learned APP and the stand taken by both the parties, following order is passed.
O R D E R
i) The parties, either personally or through their representatives, shall attend the mediation center of this Court on 10.02.2025, at 11:00a.m.
ii) The officer in charge of the mediation center shall appoint a suitable Mediator from their panel to make an attempt to bring about the settlement
between the parties.
iii) Till the next date before the Court, the statement made by learned APP that no coercive steps will be taken against the petitioner is accepted.
iv) Stand over to 26.03.2025.
