Registry has placed the aforesaid petition, having regard to the report sent by the learned Principal District & Sessions Judge, Thane, seeking extension of time of six months to dispose of the Regular Criminal Case No. 144 of 2008.

Vide order dated 12th March, 2025, this Court (Coram : Sarang V. Kotwal & S.M.Modak, JJ.) had expedited the trial of the Wakodikar 1/2

3-WP-5335-2024.doc petitioner and had directed the learned Trial Judge to decide the matter within six months.

The learned Trial Court seized of the said case i.e. Regular Criminal Case No. 144 of 2008 has addressed a letter to this Court seeking extension of time of six months to dispose of the said case. The said letter is dated 17th September, 2025. 4.

For the reasons set out in the aforesaid letter dated 17th September, 2025, time is extended by a period of six months for deciding Regular Criminal Case No. 144 of 2008, from 17th September, 2025. The learned Principal District & Sessions Judge, Thane, to decide the Regular Criminal Case No. 144 of 2008, within the aforesaid period.

Registry to communicate the above order to the learned learned Principal District & Sessions Judge, Thane, who is seized of the said case, by fax or through a special messenger. SANDESH D. PATIL, J.
